Loose Skin & Skin Laxity

Loose skin is one of the most frustrating concerns we hear about — because it usually does not respond to creams alone. The good news: for the right patient, non-surgical treatments can stimulate collagen, improve firmness, and create a healthier, more supported look.

“My jawline is disappearing.”  •  “My neck looks older than my face.”  •  “I don’t want surgery, but I need something stronger than skincare.”
Why It Happens

Skin Laxity Is Not Just a Surface Problem

Sagging usually comes from a combination of changes — which is why Dawn Reeves, PA-C evaluates what is actually driving yours before recommending anything.

Collagen & Elastin LossThe skin’s support network thins with age, sun exposure, and inflammation.
Volume ChangesDeeper facial support shifts — sometimes the skin looks loose because the structure beneath it changed.
Lifestyle & GeneticsSun, weight changes, hormones, and genetics all shape how and where laxity shows.

Non-Surgical Treatments That Can Help

Core treatment for early laxity

Morpheus8

Radiofrequency microneedling that delivers energy beneath the surface to stimulate collagen remodeling and firmness — ideal for jawline softening, crepey neck skin, and mild to moderate sagging. Results build over a series.

Solaria CO₂ Laser

Sometimes “loose skin” is actually crepey, wrinkled, sun-damaged skin. CO₂ resurfaces the surface and stimulates collagen for more dramatic renewal — with more downtime and careful aftercare.

Our Honest Take

Non-surgical treatments can meaningfully improve mild to moderate laxity, skin quality, and firmness. They cannot remove large amounts of excess skin or replace a facelift. If your laxity is more advanced, Dawn will tell you honestly what a non-surgical plan can and cannot achieve — and help you make the right decision either way.

Common Questions

Can Morpheus8 replace a facelift?
No — and we will never present it that way. Morpheus8 improves mild to moderate laxity and stimulates collagen. Advanced sagging with significant excess skin may need surgical consultation.
How many treatments will I need?
Collagen builds gradually, so most patients benefit from a series — the number depends on your degree of laxity, the area, and your goals. Dawn maps this out at your consultation.
When will I see results?
Collagen remodeling takes time. Improvement typically builds over two to three months after treatment and continues through a series.
What about my neck?
Neck aging often combines crepey texture, thin skin, and laxity. Morpheus8 helps firmness, CO₂ helps texture, and some patients need a staged combination — we evaluate which kind of neck aging is actually happening first.
Is there a way to save on a treatment series?
Yes — PureRad Inner Circle members receive 15% off eligible services including Morpheus8 and CO₂, and bank $155 monthly toward treatments. Learn about membership.
